The shocking reason why Taylor Swift hasn't been at Travis Kelce's Chiefs games.
Taylor Swift ‘security concerns’ emerge after missing Travis Kelce NFL match
Taylor Swift was not in attendance for the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday and reasons have now emerged for the singer’s absence
Taylor Swift deliberately skipped the Kansas City Chiefs’ showdown with the Los Angeles Chargers in LA, Page Six reveals, due to security issues and to let her beau, Travis Kelce, concentrate on his game amidst a challenging season start.
According to an insider quoted by Page Six: “She has worked with Arrowhead so many times, they feel at ease and comfortable. Going to all kinds of different stadiums, you need to send a team in advance.”
The source mentioned that Taylor‘s decision to steer clear from the Chargers match might also be attributed to the NFL icon facing flak for less-than-stellar on-field stats in his initial trio of games this year.
Swift had shown up to support the Chiefs during their victories against Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals, but then she was absent for the subsequent Atlanta Falcons game a move explained by her being spotted in New York City with friend Gigi Hadid. Yet, there was no immediate explanation for her no-show at the Chargers encounter.
Speculation has been rife, with Elle suggesting that Swift chose to step back and let her beau Kelce take centre stage on the field, reports the Mirror US.
This comes after a document surfaced online claiming their relationship was a PR stunt set to end on a specific date. The document appeared to be from LA-based firm Full Scope, detailing a planned breakup.
However, the company swiftly denied any involvement or knowledge of the document. Despite this controversy and Swift’s absence from recent games, multiple sources confirm the couple are still very much together.
It remains unclear whether Swift will make the trip back to Arrowhead Stadium this upcoming Sunday, when the Chiefs and Kelce will take on the New Orleans Saints. The pop superstar is set to return to action herself in the coming weeks, where she will be back on the stage for the final leg of her worldwide Eras tour. She will begin in Miami on October 18, running through until the start of December where she finishes in Canada.
