Pamela Anderson, 57, is declared the most beautiful woman in the world after going makeup free at film festival
Pamela Anderson is fully embracing this makeup-free phase of her life and it looks like her fans are too. Indeed, they have recently hailed her as “the most beautiful woman in the world”.
The actress appeared at a photocall on Friday for her upcoming film, The Last Showgirl, during the 2024 San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. She wore a vibrant long-sleeved, flowing floral dress without any makeup.
She accessorized with small diamond stud earrings and sheer nude heels. Later, Anderson appeared on the red carpet for the film’s premiere, dressed in a caped pink gown with her hair elegantly pinned up.
For the event, she kept her look natural, only adding a hint of red lipstick for a touch of color.
When photos from the event surfaced online, fans rushed to social media to praise the iconic star, with one labeling her as “the most beautiful woman in the world”.
Another wrote: “She has never looked better, so naturally stunning and no needful make up. Lucky lady. ”
A third penned: “She’s happy in her own skin. She’s incredible!”
Anderson began her no-makeup journey last year and has continued to embrace it.
She first drew attention for this new style after being photographed up close for the WWD February 2024 cover without any makeup.
The Baywatch star shared a series of photos from the shoot on social media, captioning them, “I’d rather show my freckles…”
She added: “It’s fun getting old. It’s a relief.”
Anderson expanded on her choice to go makeup-free in an interview with Elle, describing it as “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too.”
“I think we all start looking a little funny when we get older,” she said. “And I’m kind of laughing at myself when I look in the mirror. I go, ‘Wow, this is really… what’s happening to me?’ It’s a journey.”
But the most poignant reason for Anderson’s makeup-free choice goes beyond fashion or trends; it is intimately connected to the passing of her close friend and makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, who died of breast cancer in 2019.
“She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,” Anderson poignantly said.
Vogel was the genius behind Anderson’s iconic smoky-eyed look, which became a signature style for the actress during her Playboy photo shoots and beyond.
“I’d rather show my freckles. It’s fun getting old. It’s a relief. At a certain age we look younger and fresher without makeup,” Anderson added.
Since last year, Anderson has continued showcasing her natural beauty at numerous events, including the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, the 2023 Fashion Awards, and for the CR Fashion Book Audacious Issue 24, among others.
