Kim Porter’s father has spoken out about the arrest of P Diddy – who dated the model for over a decade.
American model Kim tragically died at the age of 47 in November 2018. She had previously dated P Diddy – whose real name is Sean Combs – from 1994 until 2007 and together they shared son Christian Combs, 26, and twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila, 17.
In recent months, the music world has been rocked by legal proceedings which have befallen Diddy, 54 – who had properties in the USA searched by the FBI. This month, he was arrested in New York and held without bail as officials have accused him with a string of heinous crimes including sex trafficking, kidnap, arson, witness intimidation, obstruction of justice and racketeering. Combs has pled not guilty to all charges and vehemently denied all allegations.
Following Kim’s death, her father, Jake Porter, 78, was seen grieving with Diddy at his side during her funeral and he is now said to feel conflicted over the rap star’s shocking arrest. Jake revealed he had witnessed historic video footage from 2016 which was published by CNN in May this year which showed Diddy beating then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.

Discussing the explosive legal issues facing his late daughter’s former boyfriend, Jake told the MailOnline he was: “Aware of [the allegations] from the news.” He is then quoted stating: “When I saw the video of what he did to Cassie (Ventura). I was disgusted. I don’t really have much to say beyond that.”
He added: “Everyone’s innocent until proven guilty I guess, but the truth will come out.” Jake went on to question the validity of an investiagtion that looked into the death of his daughter – who’s passing was ruled to have been caused by lobar pneumonia. The grandfather dismissed the previous investigation as: “A load of c—.” He did not, however, call for a new investigation into Kim’s death to be opened.
Jake’s interview with the MailOnline comes after musician Al B. Sure! expressed his desire for an investigation into Kim’s death to be reopened in light of Diddy’s arrest. The music star, whose real name is Albert Joseph Brown, 56, shared his thoughts via Instagram on Monday.
He began: “I am writing this post to formally request an investigation into an entire group of individuals who worked at or around the residence of Ms. Kimberly Porter” – before listing a number of individuals, none of whom have been arrested or charge with any wrongdoing.
He continued: “It has come to my attention that these persons were also instructed to steal her computer and mobile devices, which contained her ‘original book notes.’ Original notes are distinct from the fabricated bulls**t and offensive pages circulated via Amazon which depict graphic sexual acts involving me that NEVER took place and were edited and added after Ms. Porter’s tragic murder.”
It is noted, however, that Kim’s death was ruled death by natural causes and there has been no accusation of foul play or murder.
His post included screenshots from a book titled Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey for Justice from the Other Side by Jamal Millwood, which claims to include Porter’s journal entries from the time in which she dated Diddy. Brown claims the book “raises significantly more questions” about Porter’s death.
