Julia shares that being a mom brings her a lot of joy and satisfaction. She takes care of everything at home. Every day, she cooks breakfast for her family, cleans the kitchen, and handles many other tasks. By the time she finishes all her responsibilities, it’s already time to start preparing lunch. When dinner comes around, she feels like she’s had a busy and fulfilling day. Julia mentions:

“I don’t have the luxury of sitting around anymore. I probably had a lot of free time before I had children, but I don’t remember what I did with it, and I didn’t appreciate it.”

She also gets to spend a lot of time with her family and said with a smile, “My life at home gives me absolute joy.” Although she loves caring for her family, life at home can sometimes become slightly tedious. Julia explained:

“And, as with anybody who’s a mom or a wife, it just becomes part of your everyday routine. Some days it’s super fun and some days it’s a chore.”

However, she hasn’t retired from acting altogether. It just takes more convincing to get her to take on a role. Julia admitted that whenever she finds a project with a fascinating plot or a compelling character, she is still tempted to do it.

The actress from “Eat, Pray, Love,” Julia Roberts, got so involved in her new life that she didn’t even tell her kids about her job. For a while, they didn’t know she was a very famous Hollywood star.

Even though she’s a big celebrity, Julia kept it a secret from her kids. They started figuring it out eventually, but at first, they thought she didn’t have a job because she spent a lot of time cooking and taking care of the house.

Julia shared a bit about her approach to preparing meals and where her inspiration and love for cooking came from. She learned a lot from her mother, who preferred to make everything herself using ingredients from her garden. Although she doesn’t go quite as far, she still has a few tricks up her sleeve.

Since her children have grown older, they’ve realized more and more that their mother is a successful actress.

The actress said that cooking for her family is a “privilege,” an “honor,” and a “luxury” she didn’t realize before. Her family has made her life even more fulfilling, and even her co-stars appreciate her role as a mom. She shared a funny story about how her co-star, Julianne Nicholson, sewed new sleeping bags for her daughter Hazel’s dolls.

Even though she’s famous, Julia likes being a regular mom at home. She loves having family meals so they can spend time together regularly. Julia enjoys having breakfast and dinner with her children.

“I usually have breakfast and dinner with my kids every day. I think it really punctuates, you know, starting things together and sort of processing and winding it down together.”

As her kids got older, they began to understand that their mom is a famous actress. Now, when she goes to film movies in different places, she brings them along. Julia mentioned that having her kids with her helps her stay grounded and down-to-earth.

“There’s something very humbling when you have kids, and you come home from some event and you have on this big dress and heels and diamonds, and it’s like, ‘Can I have a snack?’ And you go, ‘Yeah.’”

The actress shared that she and her husband, Daniel, decided to raise their kids like any other regular family. Julia thinks it’s important to teach her kids important life skills, such as doing their own laundry, making their beds, and taking care of themselves.
