Bay Area Sports Anchor Larry Beil Absolutely Eviscerated Oakland A's Owner John Fisher After The Team Put Out A Bullshit Farewell Letter To Their Fans Leading Up To Their Final Home Series
Starting tonight the A's will begin their final home series in Oakland. Tickets are hard to come by as fans prepare to send the team away with one final goodbye. I'm sure the scene over there will be nuts. It'll show you what could happen if the ownership gave a fuck enough ti put out a winning team. The fans exist, they love the team, but the product was just tanked to a point where it drove them away.
In preparation for the final series, scumbag owner John Fisher sent this letter to the fans. By no means did he write this. He probably has no idea what it even said. Some intern was tasked over the weekend of drafting this to hit on a few points and call it a day with the Bay Area faithful.
Bay Area sports anchor Larry Beil broke down the letter on his show and ripped Fisher apart. This was a masterclass of hate, anger, and sadness.
Zero lies detected. Incredible rant. The "I can tell you this from the heart: we tried" from the letter is quite possibly the biggest lie ever told. In Fisher's two decades the biggest contract they handed out was to Eric Chavez in 2004 for $66M. Like Beil said, they never tried to stay in the area. Every attempt was pretty much the same effort as inviting someone to an even knowing they already have plans. Just a backhanded, spit in the face "attempt" at keeping the fans happy while you secretly do everything you can to move to Vegas.
Nothing written in that letter was ever going to be viewed positively from the fanbase. Whether he typed it out or an intern is rather irrelevant. What's terrible is he can't even show his face in a press conference and stand behind his decisions. Instead he jacked up the prices to the final series with a smile on his face. One last fuck you to everyone. True supervillain shit.
It will be so funny if the Vegas move blows up on his face and he's forced to sell it to the Sacramento Kings owner. So far, like Beil said, there's zero public financial plan of how they're going to pull this off. If there's one sports owner out there who has the ability to fuck this up, it's John Fisher. Let's see how bad he really is at all this.
