𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬: ‘IF SHE DIDN’T LEAVE, HE WOULDN’T DIE’ Liam Payne’s ex stayed at same hotel the week he died, hotel manager claims
One Direction star Liam Payne tragically fell to his death in Buenos Aires last week, but according to the manager of the hotel, his former partner had also paid a visit
Liam Payne’s ex-partner had stayed in the same Argentinian hotel he died in, according to its manager.
The Strip That Down singer tragically died at the age of 31 last Wednesday (October 16) after falling 40ft from his third floor balcony. He had been staying at the luxurious CasaSur hotel in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires after supporting fellow bandmate Niall Horan at his gig in the city.
Since his death, more information about the hotel’s response to Liam’s erratic behaviour has emerged. Minutes before he fell to his death, it was revealed that hotel staff had contacted emergency services and asked for an ambulance to be sent – only to arrive seven minutes after he fell.
Further information regarding the staff at the hotel has also been revealed, including the allegation that members at the hotel had been supplying Liam with drugs shortly after checking in. Now, the hotel’s manager Estaban Grassi has confirmed that Liam’s former lover had also been staying in the hotel around the same time.

Speaking to Argentinian media, Esteban said: “He was seen alone but his ex-partner was around.” Appearing on the Telenoche show on Argentinian channel El Trece, he was asked if she had a room as well, to which he responded: “Yes,” before clarifying: “One floor above, yes.”
No specific information on which of Liam’s former partners had been staying in the room above him, as Esteban refused to give extra details. Esteban is now one of three hotel workers who have been questioned by police in connection with his death.
Liam had been on his own for two days when he sadly passed away, after girlfriend Kate Cassidy opted to return to their US home. Explaining her reasoning in a TikTok video, the actress said while she was in love with South America, she “was ready to go back” to her home.

On the day that Liam passed, guests and staff were left concerned by the For You singer’s erratic behaviour, as he had tripped several times in the hotel foyer. One guest who also had been staying at the resort described his behaviour as “disturbing”.
It also emerged that two women had been invited to Liam’s room to party with him in the hours leading up to his death. The women, who had been contacted through a local escort website, have denied any responsibility for his death, claiming they left when issues about payment came up.
Investigations are underway as Liam’s body remains in Argentina while tests are carried out
Investigations into Liam’s death are continuing, as police were seen going through the hotel’s computers in the building’s reception area. Officers were given the orders by lead prosecutor Andres Madrea, who met with Liam’s dad Geoff on Tuesday (October 22) to update him on their enquiries.
Meanwhile, Liam’s body remains in Argentina, while the final results of a toxicology report during his autopsy are being processed. It is believed that the results will take two weeks to come back, meaning Liam will not be repatriated to the UK until November.
