That same year, when the Jackson family moved to California, they stayed with Ross, allowing young Michael to form a deep admiration for her, often referring to her as his “girlfriend.”

Ross played a pivotal role in the Jackson 5’s rise to fame, introducing them on their first major television appearance on *The Ed Sullivan Show* and featuring them in her own specials.

This exposure helped launch their career, with their debut album *Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5* propelling them to superstardom. Michael’s affection for Diana only deepened over the years, and their bond grew stronger as they collaborated on numerous projects.
